On the evening of November 18, 2022, the Sydney branch of China Chamber of Commerce in Australia (CCCA) organized members to watch the movie “Home Coming”. More than 100 representatives from the Sydney branch watched the movie at the Event Cinema in Sydney City.

Counselor Ye Wei from Economic and Commercial Office of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney attended the film reception and delivered a speech. He said that the film “Home Coming” is a microcosm of Chinese diplomats’ efforts to protect Chinese compatriots overseas in the new era, and it demonstrates the core values of “loyalty, mission, and dedication” of diplomats. The Consulate General in Sydney will, as always, do its best to provide services and assistance.

Ms. Ren Li, president of the Sydney Branch of CCCA, which is the organizer of the event, said that due to the impact of the epidemic, this film reception is the first offline collective activity of the Sydney Branch in recent years. All guests and members are warmly welcomed and appreciate the guidance and support from Consulate General. In the future, the Sydney branch will better serve members and build a platform for member units to develop.

After watching the movie, the members said that the movie is really touching, which makes members realize that no matter where we are, the motherland is always by our side to protect our safety. At the same time, as Chinese living overseas,  we also care about the motherland and never forget patriotism.
